Country nine. Romania.

Romania was as I sort of expected. Its very rural with little houses
and lots of horses and carts. They all look like they are fairly self
suficient apart from the odd sat dish. There are a lot of traders on
the side of the road selling fruit and veg that looked like good
quality gear.

I cannot remember seeing a fair size fuel stop and we certainly never
saw any hotels. Most of the side roads where not tarmaced and where
just dust bowls.

Then we reached Craiova.

And it was so built up it was amazing just not what we expected at all
but it had hotels and we chose the Hotel Jiul that was near the centre
and cost about 70 euros for a double with breakfast.

Then we met some Brits.

Three hours later after a very enjoyable evening in a local so called
Irish bar that run out of the black stuff after one round and after
some excellent food and conversation we managed to make the square to
see the fountains at 2330 and you guessed it we had missed it.

I suppose we better come back next year to see it and meet up with the
Brits that will still be here as they are working on upgrading a new
Ford motor company factory.

Sorry that there is no photo or two but I left iPhone in the bike on
charge.

Regards

Peter
