Welcome to Belgium.

Just a little drizzle.

The tents will be wet.

Better stay here drinking beer until the drizzle stops.

Just some of the names.

5 percent??

No less than that

Lets get some world leaders to see the list.

Numbers mean nothing

A List Does

The last post.

The crowd waits.

At last some kwak

Look who we found in a bar.

Luc and Annie

The gate.

The last walk.

To a beer in a foreign land.

And a road we cross on which I have never seen a car has a new
roundabout.

Conclusion.

Tesco's must be coming.

Menin Gate

This is why we use the campsite at Ypres as a bit of a staging post.

This area is well worth a visit.

Well here we are.

Ypres in Belgium.

Just a short stroll to the town for some real beer. That's will be
obviously Kwak.

The bar

Is full of motorcycle bits and pieces including models of bikes and
club Tshirts on the ceiling including a green Fat B@st@rd shirt. Sadly
no Mayflower shirt could be seen. )-:

Myself and Bob had the hamburger and chips at 8 euros which was
excellent and possibly the best burger I have had for a few years.

But Fi had the vegetarian option which at 3 1/2 euros more was a total
let down as the "burger" was not good and you also seem to get less on
the plate. Think we will skip breakfast!!

And a pool

And a bar and a restaurant and hot showers and even has live bands
sometimes.

It even has a few cabins and apparently does a breakfast on the morning.

I nearly got the name right.

Its called d'n Toerstop and its in Holland.

Its a nice site

Right on the river.

So far we have Been here twice but we really just use it as a staging
post.

It is not far off the motorway and has a good resturant with good beer
and food. Its a good 400 miles from Dover so its a good position to
head for if you trying to progress.

We made it to Wertheim

Just the odd 320 miles since the Czech Republic this morning.

We set off with blue skies and arrived with the same but inbetween!!!!

A storm and a half!!!

And we went right through the middle of it!!!!!
Thunder lightning and proper rain just like we see in the UK only
wetter.

As you can see the tent is out and thats the first time for over two
weeks.

Its got sand in the bottom of it....... I wonder where that came
from....... LOL.

Time to leave.

Looks like a nice day but I think its raining in Germany.

We have had a great couple of days here in Ceske Krumlov.

We will be back one day!!

You got to watch out.

It seems as if this town eats early.

2200 seems to be the cut off time for some places but luckily this
place with the big fire seems to be still serving.

We must remember to stop pub crawiling earlier.

Done the touristey bit.

So now its time for a pint and to buy a Tshirt at the gates to the
brewery.

Tonight we will be having some more excellent food and if its anything
like last night it sure will be.

And then tommorow we shall be heading into Germany and aiming for
Wertheim which is a site we have used before.

On Thursday we should be at Ypres so that only leaves Wednesday with
an undecided destination.

WOT NO BEER OR VODKA!!

Found a tea shop and what a delight it is.

Check out their site it is

www.tea.cz

From the castle.

The town from the castle.

The main oblong.

A proper wig wam

But will the poles fit in the topbox??

Ceske Krumlov

Is a UNESCO site

Loads of JAWA's and CZ's

Going back as far as 1932.

Up stairs in a resturant

Is private collectors motorcycle collection along with some other
weird stiff as well. Including little steam engines.

The is a 1929 ariel model F and is 500cc.

There is a lot of messing about on the water

And it all seems so safe.

Cesky Krumlov

You could photograph this place for ever.

Bob decides that missing lunch

Is not a good idea

Arrived in the czech republic again.

This time we are at Cesky Krumlov which is one of me and Fi's
favourite places.

We have two nights here as we are playing our joker.

I am sure there will be more photos to follow.

Next stop.

Cesky Krumlov in the Czech Republic.

After our day in Poland and a vodka hunt that enables Fi to find 2 new
bottles and a bottle of her favourite vodka we make plans to go to
Cesky Krumluv in the czech republic which is a favourite of ours.

We do intend to stay there for two nights or even three so that we can
smell the roses but it is a long ride of once again over 300 miles but
hopefully being a Sunday this should be easier than at other times.

Local time as I write this is after 0100 and with several beers and
many vodkas its time to take a few hours sleep.

Bob plans his route home

On his latest updated compact Garmin maps.

Friday, July 25, 2008

As michael Jackson once said.

Black or White vodka.

Fiona has a new favourite vodka.

And they do it in black as well

Looks like we need to make some space for some new vodkas to add to
the two dozen we have already.

Lost

Today due to a mix up with a bus lane myself and Bob spent some of the
day apart.

We crossed into Slovakia at different border post's but we did manage
to meet back up again after several text messages at about 1500

This made us a little late so we have changed the plan slightly and we
are spending the night in a hotel in the Czech republic about 60 miles
short of auswich.

The village we are staying in is called Jablunkov in the Czech Republic.

Another reason for stopping is that the weather ahead did not look
good and as it was after 6 we stopped.

Now an hour later as I type this the heavens have opened so on the day
that we were expecting to get wet after all the forcasts has led to
one shower for ten minutes on the Hungary/Slovakia border.

Fi has lost her number plate.

But I am sure she will be ok.

Day 29 time to leave Budapest

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Budapest

After a couple of nights in budapest its time leave and travel up to
Austwich in Poland and the route will take us through Slovakia which
will give us country eleven and twelve today.

We have seen a few weather forecasts and some extra info from Gareth
and the weather does not look good especially in Slovakia so please
keep your fingers crossed for us.

As we leave Budapest the sun is shining so perhaps its all gone past!!!

We found the Leffe

In an Indian resturant in Budapest.

Graham knows the owner and it seems as if they got it in special
including the glasses.

The weather.

Just looking at the news and it does not look good.

We are meant to be travelling from Budapest across Slovakia to
Austwich in Poland but we are not sure wether the floods in Slovakia
will affect us??

A Budapest tram

Budapest is well serviced by a tram service a metro and buses and taxis.

The venicular railway and one of the seven crossings over the river.

When the Germans left in 45 they destroyed all the bridges but they
where all rebuilt up their original design.

The Gerbeaud

Well worth a look inside and to have a coffee.

Budapest.

Local food Market.

One if the best places n Budapest to buy your food.

Really clean and fresh.
