A nice view for the bike.

On the hill above Cavtat.

I am not sure whether this works.

And I cannot delete it from here if it does not

But the link below should be our present location.

We are down the coast from Dubrovnik in Cavtat and we have taken a
room for a few days and intend to take a boat ride into dubrovnik
tommorow.

It's such a hard life this holiday business.

A very friendly worthwile stop.

About 6 quid a night camping and our bar bill including food for three
persons was just over 30 quid

Keith's having a Condor moment.

The campsite is right on the beach.

Fiona takes the chance to have a paddle.

80 miles from Dubrovnik.

We have travelled today with Keith on his bmw.

We took the coast road and saw some spectacular views along the way.

The repair to the bike has held out well and looks like it will last
the rest of the trip.

It's time to pack up

I am not sure whether it will all go in. Perhaps the panniers have
shrunk in the rain.

Next stop somewhere between here and Dubrovnik.

A little cloudy

And all of a sudden we get a sunset and my camera is at the campsite )-:

Swopping shirts.

Fi has managed to swop her shirt with Elainea(?) the wife of the
Russian guy from the ST-Owners site.

It's the Gala dinner.

The last night of the rally.

Sadly I had to miss the parade of nations as sadly the repair on the
bike failed so we had a second attempt using a Y joint I found in a
bike shop.

It all seems 100 percent now which will give me the confidence to
travel on down to Dubrovnik. Going on to Montenegro might be another
matter.

Half way along the A8

The A8 is known as one of the best riding roads in Europe and we can
see why.

So I post a picture of the water and our rest stop. Am I mad?

Now in Slovenia.

Had a bit of a Late night last night. The campsites in Italy all
seemed to be still closed for the winter. It's was only 28 degrees. LOL.

Most of the hotels we found in Trieste where expensive so we ended up
in this hotel just over the border into Slovenia.

Today we shall arrive at the rally and the route includes at least 100
miles along the Adriatic coast.

We found a wiggerly road

And at the top was a campsite.

Trouble is we have to go back down the same wiggerly road in the
morning!!

It's a real shame but somebody has to do it.

It's looking like it might rain this evening but we have our fingers
crossed that it will go around us.

Now in Austria.

On our way to Innsbruck.

At the moment we are enjoying a nice expensive coffee about 20 miles
short.

If we find a nice campsite between here and innsbruck while in the
mountains then we might get tempted to stop early.

Check out the website for more info.

The Menin Gate

Tonight after seeing possibly over twenty cerermonies was the most
busy and possibly the most sobering (after the New Zealand one).

As I have said before everyone should come here at least once.

Day one

At last we are on holiday and on our way to the rally in Croatia and
afterwards we shall spend a week or so in Montenegro.

We have today travelled to the town of Ypres in Belgium.

When we were on the channel tunnel we met up with another few members
of the Mayflower. Bryan and Paula! They are travelling down via
hotels so we waved goodbye to them on the motorway in France.

We have since met up with Simon Ford who is travelling down with us.

Now the tents are up it must be Kwak time.
