Sfax

You really need to see the way they drive here and when you have you
will never complain about other peoples driving ever again.

If you are not going far down the road then why do you have to cross
the road why not drive on the wrong side even if you are a lorry.

Nobody gives way. Ever. Every car has debts in it. Even on the roof!!

Back in Tunisia.

What a rubbish picture of the back end of a train.

But it's the best I can do.

Straight off the plane then met and taken down to the station given a
ticket and put on a train for a three hour journey down to Sfax.

I left home at 0400hrs and it's now 1615hrs I should be in my hotel by
2000hrs. That's a long day travelling almost as long as going to
Singapore.

Time to come home

There are not many streets in Singapore named after British places but
this street in front of my hotel for the last nearly three weeks never
fails to remind me of home.

The Singapore Night Safari

An Amazing Evening

One of the best experiences at a zoo I have ever had from the elephants that were so close to the bats flying through your hair in the rain forest.......its a must do in Singapore

The motley crew

This evening we went to a Brazilian resturant

Not the place to take a vegeterian.

An amazing experience and worth repeating.

Happy Deepavali

Sri Veeramakaliamman Temple

And it's in little India part of Singapore.

The area is very good but it might look even nicer in the dark.

Seems to be the place to buy Gold.

Still In Singapore

Sadly although I have been invited to take part in the even below I have sadly been unable to rent a notorcyle that will allow me to ride across the three countries

Its a real shame that I will not be able to take part as I was going to join some Pan European riders that live here in Singapore

bottle of tiger beer!!!! I must do better this week.

It's a wanna be

It's a Honda made to look like a Harley and a very good job he has done.

It's a Japenese guy that owns it and it's all down to the way their
driving licencing works. It takes three years to get a full motorcycle
licence. No short cuts at all.

I think the limits are 200 then 400 then unlimited. If you lose your
licence which is just as easy as in the UK then you start again. Now
that is harsh!!

Eddie and his pan.

Some if the members.

They even had a Brit from Northampton turn up and also a French man
from Paris although he had a Harley.

Guess who left his camera in his hotel.

Perhaps if I get a chance to join them on Friday evening then I might
remember to take my camera and take a better picture that shows how
many bikes show up.

Did you know that they have to pay extra to have a white pan!! And
that the price of Tyres is half what we pay in the UK.

The Taxi

This was one of the bikes that showed up. I think the owner was called
Eddie. I think it looks very nice and I think it would look even
better with a yellow topbox.

Singapore Stoc

This evening I was made most welcome by the members of www.sgstoc.org

Ong Chee was even kind enough to come by my hotel with his pan and
take me to the meet.

The picture below is of his Pan and I rode pillion and it's been a
while since I have done that.

Singapore

I have not much to say about Singapore as at the moment all I have seen is the shipyard and the hotel

The ship above is the one I am working on

Tonight (Wednesday) I shall be collected by a local on a Pan and shall be off to their weekly "SingSToc" which seems to take place somewhere in a hotel

I have so far seen two pans.....one was an 1100 which I am sure had a ST number plate and one overtook my taxi which was a 1300

Time for lunch.

I went to lunch with some Italians and there we were upstairs in the
Sun Plazza with a choice of about 20 different booths selling all
sorts of Chinese Thai and other types of food

I had a plate of chicken curry and rice for about two quid and it was
excellent. Do remember that to prepare the chicken they hit it with a
baseball bat until the bones are really small so you do have to pick
out the bones.

Another pic from my hotel room

Singapore sure is a nice place.

I have been here before but I did not really get much chance to see
the place last time.

This time I have already noticed how clean and tidy the place is.
Nearly everywhere you go there are flowers and greenery. This might be
because the Grand Prix was in town last week

Time to pop over to Singapore

But just for a few days.

It sure helps to pay for the riding.

This is the view from my hotel room. For those of you that know
Singapore it's just off of Orchard road.
