A trip to Liverpool

Got the bike out for a job in Liverpool via another one in Reading. Been here for two hours and the jobs been cancelled so it's a 250 mile trip back home again. Perhaps they will be ready for us one day next week.

The market.

The old Souq is difficult to describe but I shall give it a go.

It's old...... Well it looks old but I am sure it's not all as old as
it looks.

It smells and it's a nice smell. All those people smoking their pipes
and all the insense and the spices in the shops really add to the
experiance.

The place is spotless and almost every street has a guy brushing up.

The best bit of all is that no one is pressure selling allowing you
too just browse.

The city skyline of Doha

The restaurant

Get down here for three have a late lunch just in time for all the
shops to open at about four.

Morrocan style mint tea.

I was not tempted by the baby camel on the menu and have ordered the
beef.

Hole in the wall

They do not look like this anywhere else.

Taken in the old Souq.

Amazing.

And unbelievable

There I am walking back to my room after a Indian meal on my own. Not
bothering to have a beer because I was on my own.

When

Out of the throng of people heading towards the night club ( the
Qube ) I get accosted by Giacomo from Italy who I met a few months ago
in Singapore. So we have spent a few hours catching up on old times
and drinking in the VIP bar in the Qube.

Seeing as we are working on different contracts that are 100 km's
apart in Qatar. Meeting up again was one hell of a coincidence

And the food was

Brilliant

And the service was brilliant.

I might have to come back again.

Dinner for one.

But this lot are singing next to my table.

I hope the food is as good as the ambience.

Away again

It's a hard life but someone has too do it.

Away working in Qatar in the middle east for a few days.

Have not seen much except a building site and my room so a picture of
my room will have to do

I think my room rate is £260 per day but they did upgrade me to an
executive room which us very nice.

The hotel has twenty restaurants a few of them are Indian which is my
favourite so I shall try them all out if I get a chance.

The hotel is the Ramada
