Guess who left his camera in his hotel.

Perhaps if I get a chance to join them on Friday evening then I might
remember to take my camera and take a better picture that shows how
many bikes show up.

Did you know that they have to pay extra to have a white pan!! And
that the price of Tyres is half what we pay in the UK.

The Taxi

This was one of the bikes that showed up. I think the owner was called
Eddie. I think it looks very nice and I think it would look even
better with a yellow topbox.

Singapore Stoc

This evening I was made most welcome by the members of www.sgstoc.org

Ong Chee was even kind enough to come by my hotel with his pan and
take me to the meet.

The picture below is of his Pan and I rode pillion and it's been a
while since I have done that.

Singapore

I have not much to say about Singapore as at the moment all I have seen is the shipyard and the hotel

Tonight (Wednesday) I shall be collected by a local on a Pan and shall be off to their weekly "SingSToc" which seems to take place somewhere in a hotel

I have so far seen two pans.....one was an 1100 which I am sure had a ST number plate and one overtook my taxi which was a 1300

Time for lunch.

I went to lunch with some Italians and there we were upstairs in the
Sun Plazza with a choice of about 20 different booths selling all
sorts of Chinese Thai and other types of food

I had a plate of chicken curry and rice for about two quid and it was
excellent. Do remember that to prepare the chicken they hit it with a
baseball bat until the bones are really small so you do have to pick
out the bones.

Singapore sure is a nice place.

I have been here before but I did not really get much chance to see
the place last time.

This time I have already noticed how clean and tidy the place is.
Nearly everywhere you go there are flowers and greenery. This might be
because the Grand Prix was in town last week

Time to pop over to Singapore

But just for a few days.

It sure helps to pay for the riding.

This is the view from my hotel room. For those of you that know
Singapore it's just off of Orchard road.

A better shot

This phone is not that good a taking pictures of moving motorcycles or
any thing else moving fir that matter. So here is a picture taken in
the pits.

There was one young lad (junior) that rode 22 races over the weekend
and won everyone. That's impressive!!

And the sidecars are here as well.

Grass track at Plymtree

On the way home from the Mayflower AGM what better to spend the
afternoon than go to grass track racing.

Home again

2100 miles later I arrive back at home after a fantastic weeks riding
with mike and dave.

Thursday from Ullapool down past Applecross and on to near Mull was by
far the best day and will be talked about forever or at least until I
have a better days riding but it will hard to beat.

Sadly I needed a new tyre which was fitted in Oban. The old tyre has
to be the worse looking tyre I have ever removed off of a bike. Part
of it was even beginning to shred rubber.

Special thanks has to go to Dave W for joining us and helping us I
find all the detours that help make travelling with Dave such an
adventure.

Thanks also to Mike J for joining us with his GS and taking it on it's
first adventure. Here's hoping he can earn some brownie points and do
it all over again soon.

Trouble is it has no fly sheet so I bet he's a little damp.

We have arrived.

At the rally just north of Dumfries.

It's a little damp today so our original plan to go out for a little
spin has been put on hold and it's off to the pub for a pint or two
after we had a very nice breakfast in the tea shop.

There is a beer festival on in the village sponsored by both pubs in
the village and each pub has a band on tonight.

Mr Mike J even stayed up well past his bed time last night in fact it
was well after midnight before we found our way back to out tents.

He said do not go that way as the road us too twisty!!

Dave has he has to return to work tommorow.

Loch Sunart

We are staying at a campsite in Resipole.

It's very nice but has no facilities like a pub or a cafe within strolling distance

Today we did about 270 miles and I remember every single one of them
as they were all brilliant.

Off to Mull in the morning.

It's that castle again.

Now on our way to Applecross.

And the roads are stunning and so are the views.

Sadly we had to do B&B as the campsite was closed.

It sure is nice to see some blue sky at last

The last few miles have been fairly dry and we hope it continues into
tommorow as the ride down to Ullapool has got to be the best days
riding in the UK

Time for lunch in Aviemore and a chance to see the steam train as it
travels past through what has got to be one of the best looking
railway stations in the UK

Not far from Balmoral as you can see the weather is a little wet but
it could be far worse.

It was well worth a visit

There is a fair bit of building work going on at the moment so it will
get even better

And more if the same.

When you go to Scotland

You just have to go to Samye Lings Tibetan Monastery

And our numbers double

At the Hartside cafe on the A386

It's a popular haunt for bikers and for good reason the roads around
here are brilliant.

The Lake District.

Today (Saturday) is the first day of a week long tour around the
Scottish highlands for myself and Mike (he rides a BMW but never mind)

Tommorow we shall be meeting up with Dave W who will take us on a
Daves detour into Scotland

But tonight we are staying at the Skyside Camping Park in the lake
district which has given us a chance to get off the M6 and enjoy some
twistie roads.

We have done about 350 miles today in what has been a very nice day

Having No rain was a bonus and it's looking like it's going to be
smashing evening although sadly we have a choice of an on site bar and
an Inn (Brotherswater Inn) just at the entrance to the site both of
which seem to serve cask ales. Decisions decisions.

A wash out

We made it to race eight before the heavens opened and the match was
abandoned

Never mind.

Here's hoping that next year we have the Exeter Falcons back with a
new track

England vs Australia.

It's the under 23's but who will win??

Wales

Taken last Friday.

And not a very good picture but it does show the point that I decided
that I had gone far enough in all the bad weather.

I sat here for five minutes and in that time the water had rosen
enough for me to not be able to get out of the car which meant it was
time for a "U" turn.
